实际上有可能下面这几个原因，一个是弱光养，再有就是浇水过多，还有一点就是氮元素过多了。
茉莉喜欢沙质化土壤，平时浇水不需要过勤，一般我们是腐殖土加田园土加点粗河沙，这样的土壤就可以。
它的湿度我们保持在30%至40%的湿度就可以，如果你浇水过多，它就会出现徒长现象，你只见到叶子，就不见它开花。
还有就是光照不充足，你背阴来养，时间过长呢，它也是枝干不茁壮，只是长的很纤细、纤弱，只长个，不变粗，这种也不愿意开花。
第三个原因就是氮元素过多，我们有时喜欢用淘米水发酵或者是豆饼水、芝麻饼了，沤制之后作为肥料，实际上这两种都属于氮元素，我们应该结合其他的肥料一起使用。
大家都知道这个茉莉花是开花植物，氮元素它只是长茎干叶的，适合观叶植物，像龟背竹、绿萝、虎皮兰等等那些观叶性的花卉，它是适合的，要想开花还得以磷钾元素为主，所以我们只是小苗的时候，可以用氮元素，长到三四对叶子之后，我们就应该换成磷钾元素的肥料，用一些复合溶液肥，或者我们就是用些磷酸二氢钾或者花多多二号，进行催花，促进花芽分化，能够多孕蕾，多开花，花朵还能大。
当然要想茉莉开花，光照也得充足，俗称晒不死的茉莉，它的需要的光照比较多，我们平时可以放南窗台的位置，再有必须有通风。
它的修剪也很主要，不经过修剪的茉莉，它是不容易爆花的，我们一定在长出新的叶子之后，长出三四对就进行修剪，让它在憋出新的侧枝，这样反复进行，它才能够开始开花。
